Dr. Sohyun Park is a board certified periodontist who earned her DDS from the State University of New York at Buffalo, Certificate in AEGD from Lutheran Medical Center, and Certificate in Periodontology and Dental Implants from the University of Pittsburgh. Additionally, she received her MDS (Master of Dental Science) during her postdoctoral periodontal program with a research project on bone graft for implant placements. Before she came to San Francisco, she worked in the North Bay and the East Bay.
Dr. Park is very excited to provide the service in the San Francisco Bay area with caring, comprehensive, evidence-based dental care. Her scope of dental care includes treating all areas in the field of periodontics, including surgical and non-surgical disease control, LANAP (Laser-Assisted New Attachment Procedure), soft tissue grafts, crown elongations, PAO (periodontally assisted orthodontics), guided bone and tissue regenerations and implant dentistry.
Dr. Park is certified with LANAP for laser therapy and Wilckodontics for periodontally assisted orthodontics, and her professional memberships include the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Board of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the San Francisco Dental Society.
She lives in East Bay area with her husband, Yong, and three children, Lily, Chris and Ellie.
Dr. Mark Wiesen graduated magna cum laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine. He continued his professional experience with a general dental residency at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. He received his advanced certificate in Periodontics from the State University of New York in Stony Brook. He has been in private practice in the Bay Area since 1998. Dr. Wiesen has lectured at the IADR and AAP on his clinical experience with bone regeneration. Furthermore, he served on the distinguished committees for education and membership for the AAP. He served on the Board of Directors for Southern Alameda County Dental Society and the Northern California Asian Dental Association. Dr. Wiesen was the Ethics Chair for the San Francisco Dental Society for 10 years. Dr. Wiesen is an active member of many professional organizations:

Our focus is on minimally invasive procedures such as laser assisted new attachment procedure (LANAP) for the treatment of periodontitis.
Additionally, We practice conservative techniques for gum recession such as gingival tunneling with allograft and subepithelial connective tissue grafts.
