Dr. Mark Wiesen graduated magna cum laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine. He continued his professional experience with a general dental residency at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. He received his advanced certificate in Periodontics from the State University of New York in Stony Brook. He has been in private practice in the Bay Area since 1998. Dr. Wiesen has lectured at the IADR and AAP on his clinical experience with bone regeneration. Furthermore, he served on the distinguished committees for education and membership for the AAP. He served on the Board of Directors for Southern Alameda County Dental Society and the Northern California Asian Dental Association. Dr. Wiesen was the Ethics Chair for the San Francisco Dental Society for 10 years. Dr. Wiesen is an active member of many professional organizations:

Dr. Wiesen is also a staff periodontist at the Palo Alto Veterans Administration Medical Center.
Dr. Wiesen and his team offer a broad range of both surgical and nonsurgical periodontal procedures.
Our focus is on minimally invasive procedures such as laser assisted new attachment procedure (LANAP) for the treatment of periodontitis.
Additionally, Dr. Wiesen offers conservative techniques such as tunneling and the pinhole gum graft procedures to manage gingival recession.
