She then practiced as a general dentist for 3 years where she elaborated comprehensive dental skills. While she was working as a general dentist, she became fascinated with periodontics, so she decided to become a periodontist and then started a three-year residency program in Periodontology and Dental Implants at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. She also received her Master of Dental Science during the periodontics residency with a research project on bone graft for implant placements. She currently serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Periodontics Department at the University of the Pacific.
Dr. Park is very excited to provide the service in the San Francisco Bay area with caring, comprehensive, evidence-based dental care. Her scope of dental care includes treating all areas in the field of periodontics, including surgical and non-surgical periodontal therapy around natural teeth, laser therapy, gum grafts, crown elongations, periodontally assisted orthodontics, implant therapy, bone, and gum graft to prepare implant therapy and treatment of disease around existing dental implants.
For advanced laser treatment, she is certified with LANAP (Laser-Assisted New Attachment Procedure), and for the perio-ortho treatment, she is certified with Wilckodontics. Dr. Park strongly believes that dentistry is a lifetime learning process. She attends many continuing education courses throughout the year, adapting newer technologies and honing her skills continuously.
